A Subsidy

A Subsidy of Christ

"I recently noticed that I help subsidize the living expenses of those around me, like Maria's YouTube Premium subscription, costing over ₱100 monthly, and a Microsoft Word subscription at around ₱300. It's not direct please take note. (I just thought that way but it's not really I'm the one paying those.)
It’s hard-earned money that I don’t really keep track of. This made me question: Am I being taken advantage of? Am I giving too much without realizing it?

But then I thought, isn’t this how God works in my life too? Doesn’t He subsidize my living in ways I often overlook? Everything I have—whether it's our Airbnb business or the simple joy of improving it—is all from God’s provision. It’s through His blessing, like the job I have at ABC, that I’m able to support myself and others. In the same way that I give, God gives abundantly, sustaining us with His grace and generosity.”

And from Deuteronomy 24:19 (NIV):

"When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands."

These passages reflect God's command to care for those in need by leaving behind part of the harvest.
